Kindness Adventures is proud to partner with EPIC Outreach, an inspiring nonprofit dedicated to fostering compassion and creating a kinder world for people, animals, and the planet.
This project focused on hands-on service, teamwork, and building hope—both for the animals who call the sanctuary home and the people who care for them.
Kindness: What We Did
Hard Work & Construction
Six Kindness volunteers alongside a skilled contractor, took on the challenge of building a much-needed pole barn for the sanctuary’s animals. Over three intense days, they worked tirelessly to bring this project to life.
Outcomes
Animals gained a safe, comfortable space to call home.
Building the Barn
Using a post-hole digger, the team prepared the foundation and set heavy 8x8 posts before cutting beams and studs with precision to frame the structure. Through determination and teamwork, they raised the roof and completed the barn—creating a safe, sturdy shelter for the animals at EPIC Outreach.
Outcomes
EPIC Outreach gained not just a barn, but lasting support for their mission to inspire compassion.
Gardening & Painting
Beyond the barn, the Kindness women also helped maintain and revitalize the community garden and gave fresh life to the iconic red barn with a new coat of paint, leaving the grounds more welcoming and vibrant.

Kindness women gained the satisfaction of hard work and the joy of giving back in a tangible way
Surrounded by Joy
Throughout the project, the women worked alongside the sanctuary’s residents—pigs, horses, donkeys, and other rescued animals—who curiously watched as their new shelter came together. These lighthearted moments reminded everyone of the deeper purpose behind the work.
Why It Mattered
Safe Shelter for Animals
The new pole barn provides much-needed protection for the animals, offering them comfort and safety in all seasons.
Strengthening Community
The project supported EPIC Outreach’s mission to care for animals while teaching kindness and compassion to visitors and volunteers.
Shared Impact
A portion of the proceeds from the Kindness Adventures Virtual Tour directly contributed to funding this project—helping both the sanctuary and its animals thrive.
