At Kindness Adventures, our mission is to provide a unique and fulfilling travel experience for women that combines the thrill of adventure with the opportunity to give back to local communities. We believe that travel can be a powerful tool for personal growth and transformation, and we strive to create meaningful and impactful experiences that allow our guests to connect with the world in a deeper way. Whether through challenging outdoor activities or hands-on community service projects, we aim to inspire and empower our guests to make a positive difference in the world through their actions and attitudes. We are committed to fostering a culture of kindness and compassion, and to creating a supportive and inclusive community of like-minded women who are passionate about making a positive impact.

OUR VALUES

Kindness - Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, considerate, and compassionate towards others. It involves showing empathy and understanding; and taking action to help others without expecting anything in return. The value of kindness lies in its ability to create positive connections between people, promote feelings of happiness and well-being, and contribute to a more harmonious and supportive society.

Adventure - Adventure offers individuals the opportunity to experience new and exciting activities or challenges that provide a sense of excitement, accomplishment, personal growth, and self-discovery. Adventure may involve taking risks or stepping out of one's comfort zone, which can lead to increased self-confidence and resilience. It can also provide opportunities for learning new skills, developing relationships, and creating memories that last a lifetime. By pursuing adventure, individuals can break from routine and experience a greater sense of meaning and purpose in their lives.

Community - The value of community lies in its ability to create a sense of belonging, connectedness, and support among individuals who share common interests, goals, or identities. A strong community can provide individuals with a sense of security and social support, promoting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Communities can also promote positive social change and contribute to the greater good through shared resources, collective action, and collaboration. In addition, communities can provide opportunities for personal growth and development, as individuals can learn from each other, exchange ideas, and develop new skills.

OUR GOALS

At Kindness Adventures, our goals are to promote acts of kindness towards others, creating positive connections between individuals, fostering empathy and understanding, and promoting personal growth and self-discovery through engaging in kind acts. By combining the values of kindness and adventure, Kindness Adventures aims to support positive social change and contribute to the greater good through collective action and collaboration. Additionally, Kindness Adventures seeks to raise awareness of social and environmental issues, promote sustainable tourism practices, and support local communities by participating in volunteer or service activities.

Jacqueline Stanford has been promoting kindness her whole life, and her extensive range of accomplishments reflect her commitment to this philosophy. She has worked in various professions, including teaching, sales, and farming, and has been a dedicated mom throughout. Jacqueline is also a skilled athlete – top 5 triathletes in the world, national triathlon team, national cycling team, participated in the first women’s Tour de France, as well as participating in basketball, flatwater and whitewater kayaking at a national level.  

For the past 30 years, Jacqueline has been an integral part of a women's adventure company that focuses on holistic wellness. As an organizer and leader of retreats all over the world, she has traveled to places such as Patagonia, Bhutan, Iceland, and the Galapagos Islands and many others.  . Jacqueline also incorporates a philanthropic aspect into each camp, allowing participants to give back to the communities they visit.

With her unique approach and wealth of travel experience, she aims to create memorable experiences for participants while simultaneously making a positive impact on the world. Jacqueline's accomplishments serve as an inspiration for those seeking to promote kindness and make a difference in their communities.

Jacqueline's newest venture is Kindness Adventures, which combines her love of adventure with a desire to serve and support communities in need. With her unique approach, she aims to create memorable experiences for participants while simultaneously making a positive impact on the world. Jacqueline's accomplishments serve as an inspiration for those seeking to promote kindness and make a difference in their communities.

As a daughter and granddaughter of strong women and a mother to a daughter myself, I firmly believe that women possess a unique blend of power, capability, empathy, and nurturing spirit. When faced with adversity, women rise to the challenge and emerge victorious. Driven by a desire for more meaningful work, I started Kindness Adventures, a platform that aligns perfectly with my vision of empowering women through transformative adventure travel experiences and most importantly – giving back.

Carolyn Dragon

Secretary/Treasurer

Carolyn brings over 40 years of corporate leadership, marketing and product development experience to Kindness Adventures. From launching stolen vehicle recovery systems (LoJack) to toys (Tickle Me Elmo) to her own personal and professional leadership development company (TENWOMENSTRONG), Carolyn makes things happen.

Jacqueline and Carolyn met more than 15 years ago and have been friends ever since. When Jacqueline decided to create a non-profit to provide service and travel for women, Carolyn jumped on board to volunteer as Secretary/Treasurer/Chief Make It Happen. With limited “hands on” experience and a “do as best we can” budget, together they have launched the Kindness Adventures platform.
