Day 1 – Arrive in Canmore
Fly into Calgary (YYC) and transfer to Canmore. Pick up will be 10 am. After settling into our mountain lodge, we’ll hopefully do a short hike, an orientation with Rocky Mountain Adaptive and then gather for a welcome dinner
Day 2 – Big Hike with RMA Participants
Begin with a full-day hike alongside women and volunteers from RMA. Together, we’ll explore scenic trails and share stories that celebrate resilience and inclusion. Evening reflection circle in Canmore.
Day 3 – Kindness in Action with RMA
Volunteer with RMA to assist adaptive women athletes and support outdoor programs. More TBD
Day 4 – Kindness E-Bike ride
The Canmore-Banff Legacy Trail is a 26.8-kilometer paved path connecting the towns of Canmore and Banff in the Canadian Rockies. This popular cycling route follows the Trans-Canada Highway and is known for its spectacular mountain views. The trail is mostly flat with a few mild inclines (but we will be on e-bikes), and a full round trip can take around 2-3 hours, We will stop in Banff for a yummy lunch and take a look around the town.
Day 5 – Whitewater Rafting Adventure
Tentative - Get ready for an adrenaline-filled day! We’ll tackle one of Alberta’s scenic rivers on a guided rafting trip, surrounded by breathtaking views. Evening celebration dinner in Canmore.
Day 6 – Lake Louise Transfer, Canoe & Explore
Early morning transfer to Chateau Lake Louise, followed by a gentle hike and serene canoe paddle on the lake’s turquoise waters. Overnight at a cozy lodge in Lake Louise.
Day 7 – Tea House & Glacier Hike
Full-day hike to the famous Lake Agnes Tea House and beyond to glacier viewpoints. Farewell dinner and celebration of our week of kindness and adventure.
Day 8 - Hearty Breakfast and Transfer to YYC
If we have time for a short hike before breakfast - then off to Calgary to catch our flights - please make departures after 2pm.

If you must cancel a reservation, we will provide a full refund, less $500, which is non-refundable. We must receive your cancellation in writing at least 90 days before the Kindness Adventure trip's start date. We are sorry, but we cannot refund any payments for cancellations made after 90 days.
We reserve the right to cancel the trip with inadequate participant interest. Kindness Adventures IS NOT responsible for any personal expenses, such as airline tickets, due to changes in schedules or tour cancellations.

Rocky Mountain Adaptive (RMA) is a registered charity in Canmore, Alberta, dedicated to ensuring that people of all ages and abilities can experience the joy of sports and recreation in the Canadian Rockies. Through more than 20 adaptive sports and recreational opportunities, RMA facilitates over 2,500 sessions each year, helping individuals who identify with a disability, physical and/or developmental challenges, and/or neurodiversity to build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging. Their inclusive programs not only promote equitable access to participate, learn, and excel in outdoor sport and recreation, but also strengthen community connections through shared outdoor adventure.

We will do our best to ensure you have healthy, happy meals. Please let us know your specific dietary requests.
When dining out, we will do our best to ensure a good selection of options.
A survey of food preferences will be sent after registration.

You are required to purchase your personal liability travel insurance and Repatriation and rescue insurance: you must have a copy of your policy with the precise number and contact details. If you do not have rescue insurance, check out https://www.globalrescue.com https://medjetassist.com
Please be aware that many travel policies will not include coverage for your time at work. Most travel insurance covers absolutely everything & anything, but only if you're at leisure. We strongly advise you to check that your policy includes coverage for your time at work as a volunteer, particularly for your own personal liability.

For the safety of our guests and our local community, we recommend vaccinations and encourage you to test before embarking on this adventure.

Here are some packing tips to ensure comfort and preparedness:
Daytime Wear: Layers
Moisture-wicking shirts (short and long sleeve)
Lightweight hiking pants or leggings
Fleece or light sweater for cool mornings
Quick-dry shorts for warmer afternoons
Breathable rain jacket (weather in the Rockies can change quickly)
Evening Wear: A Few Nice Clothes
Casual outfit for dinners in town (jeans, nice top, or sundress)
Cozy sweater or wrap for cooler mountain evenings
Footwear
Sturdy, broken-in hiking boots or trail shoes (water-resistant recommended)
Comfortable shoes or sandals for relaxing in the evening
