Masoala Forest Lodge is an adventurer’s playground, set deep within Masoala National Park, where towering rainforest meets the Indian Ocean. Reached only by boat or foot, this remote eco-lodge is the definition of off-the-grid adventure — wild, active, and endlessly exciting.
Our days are filled with hands-on exploration. We’ll trek through coastal and primary rainforest on guided hikes searching for lemurs, frogs, geckos, chameleons, and rare endemic birds. We’ll paddle sea kayaks along untouched coastline, snorkel vibrant coral reefs, swim in crystal-clear waters, and explore hidden beaches and coves that few travelers ever see.
Adventure continues inland with river excursions, pirogue (dugout canoe) trips, waterfall swims, and mangrove exploration. For those who love the ocean, there’s ample time for snorkeling, free swimming, beach games, and tide-pool discovery. September also offers the chance to spot humpback whales migrating offshore.
Between adventures, we’ll relax in open-air tree-house bungalows, enjoy fresh locally inspired meals, stretch out with ocean breezes, and fall asleep to the sounds of the rainforest. Evenings may include storytelling, stargazing, and cultural experiences with nearby communities.
Masoala is about movement, laughter, and awe — muddy trails, salty swims, spontaneous wildlife sightings, and unforgettable shared moments. It’s adventure that feeds the soul and reminds us how powerful it feels to truly explore the world.
✨ Expect full days, happy exhaustion, big smiles, and memories that last a lifetime.

Hygeia’s mission is to provide high-quality, free healthcare and education to those in need, with a special emphasis on women’s health. Their belief—that empowered women are essential to economic growth and social change—deeply aligns with our values. During our time in Madagascar, we’ll support Hygeia by helping set up a pop-up day clinic to serve women of all ages with care, dignity, and kindness.

With a mission to bring joy and opportunity to young people—whether orphaned or living in difficult circumstances—the center provides support through education, creative outlets, and community. We’re excited to spend time with the children, and we are working through the details on our project.
